Sleep Steady is a hip-hop group whose members like to believe they are pushing the boundaries of genre. Emcee, “Perry Porter”, brings a soulful, jazzy feel with his warm, laid back, lazy boy attitude. Producer/Emcee, CARLisDEAD, contrasts the tranquility of “Porter”, bringing an energy not unlike a punk/indie rock band’s lead singer. When the two come together and blend their styles, they find a happy medium that creates something completely original. The duo thirsts to reinvent itself with every project, as can be seen in their already released six projects; Paper Moon being the newest from one half of the crew, “Perry Porter”.
