Emcee/producer Yinka Diz presents life from a ‘street cosmopolitan’ state of mind on the last video from his 2011 mixtape New Art, New Money, featuring Glasses Malone, Marky, Nike Nando and Dae One. His latest single features production from Slovakia’s RK Cerman.
Born in Chicago to a mother from the infamous Cabrini Green projects and a Nigerian immigrant father, Yinka was living in the Inland Empire section of Southern California by elementary, and Paris by high school. Soon after his return stateside, he organized and embarked on a 2006 West African tour, which led to his return the following year to take part in the 2007 African Music Awards Showcase. Yinka currently resides in Washington, D.C. Look out for his 2012 follow up release entitled The Radiant Child coming sooner than you think.
