Ok, so if you’re not familiar by now, the Console Wars series is one of my favorite beat tapes ever. What separates it from the other instrumental mixtapes out there is that it not only features a variety of up and coming producers – but they’re flipping samples from video games!
Console Wars 5 will be released really soon. the tape features producers like Swoozie (WCG Ultimate Gamer, Pro gamer) Fly Boy Viz (K-Jon), AJISREAL (Oncue, Mick Boogie) and many more. The featured preview track below was made by producer, Retro, who flipped Street Fighter’s Cammy theme.
