Born to Eritrean parents in the midst of the Eritrea and Ethiopia conflict in 1990, Negash’s family spent 5 years invarious refugee camps before settling in Denmark. Negash says about the track & video:

”I felt like I had to introduce the world to my story and also shed some light on what it means to be a refugee. My parents dream was always to come to Europe, so their children could have better opportunities, so in that sense I’m a product of that dream, hence the ”The African Dream” title.”
