BlkHdeRap “Make This True” [VIDEO]

25 year old, NY native rapper/producer/songwriter Brandon Dottin, started the artist collective BLKHDERAP while attending film school. With the mission of bringing a new sound and style to hip hop. A style focused on the film term Auteurism. BLKHDERAP strives to tell a story from one vision and in one voice. BLKHDERAP often will come up with a music video idea and then create music to fit that vision. They strive to destroy the “normal” workflow and focus on creating an all encompassing experience.

BLKHDERAP collaborators are all multifaceted artists who can translate an idea across several different mediums (mainly musically and visually.) BLKHDERAP is gearing up to release their first mixtape since 2010 called “15-25” due to drop later this winter or in early spring 2014.

On February 10th they released their first music video “Make This True.” A fun piece that harkins back to the energy of the 1990’s, think “MARTIN”, think “In Living Color.” “Make This True” was directed by frequent collaborator Jahmel Reynolds of The Ren”.
