“Dream Deferred” is a song about failure, doubt and rebirth within oneself. In his case, R.E.A.L Tha Poet was blessed enough to play college basketball on several different levels via scholarship, however his true calling came via music. When you ignore the undeniable God has a way of shifting your life around to have his will done. At the time I didn’t understand, but with time comes peace.
