As a huge fan of the Office and 30 Rock, there is no doubt in my mind that the new Date Night Movie, starring Tina Fey & Steve Carell, will be a monster smash in theaters when it opens this Friday – April 9, 2010! Steve Carell has solidified his spot as one of the industry’s best character actors in recent years – his awkward, overdramatic and often bumbling personality make him seem like a real life cartoon. Everybody can relate to or knows somebody like Steve which is a necessary element in a successful film. This movie is no different.
Date Night revolves around an everyday couple, Carell and Fey, who are going about their business, attempting to enjoy their weekly date night when they end up wrapped up in some supersized drama. Mistaken for a pair of crooks, the couple try to end the night in the best way possible – alive! Criminal shootouts, crazy car chases, double entendres and Mark Wahlberg! Yes, Marky Mark steps up to the plate in one of his funniest roles EVER! Ray Liotta, James Franco and Mila Kunis also star.
Normally, I leave the romantic comedies out of my repetoire, however this is one movie I will not pass up! Check out the trailer below, and definitely get out to the movies this weekend to see this flick! It’s going to be a great time!
